Diana E. López, Esq.
Diana E. López, Esq. earned her J.D. Degree and her Family and Child Law Certificate from Loyola University School of Law in 2001. Ms. López joined the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, where she worked for four successful years. Her last year and a half as an Assistant Cook County State's Attorney, she served as a Lead Attorney in the Child Support Enforcement Division. Prior to founding her own practice, Ms. López worked for a family law firm in downtown Chicago. Ms. López believed that having her own practice, she could be more effective in helping families and couples deal with a variety of legal issues. In 2006, Ms. López founded Monteagudo, López & Díaz, LLC. Since 2006, Ms. López has represented numerous clients primarily in Cook, DuPage and Lake County. In January of 2010, Ms. López established López Law Group, P.C to fully realize her passion for helping couples, families and children at all levels of litigation and advocacy.
Ms. López is active in a number of professional organizations including the Chicago Bar Association; a member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois; a member of the Illinois State Bar Association; is one of five appointed Guardian ad Litem's in the County Division of Cook County for Adoptions; is a volunteer attorney for various legal clinics in the City of Chicago and is a volunteer attorney for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Ms. López is currently the Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Adoption Law Committee.
Ms. López treats every client with respect and integrity and helps them through the various legal and sometimes emotional transitions of any case.
Ms. López is a fluent Spanish speaker and writer.
Ms. López was born and raised on the north side of Chicago and currently lives with her family in Logan Square.
